Client Care Specialist

Hometown: Maple Ridge

Robyn started her career in the veterinary field back in Dec. 1999. A strong love of animals is what lead her to start a 14 year old journey at Port Coquitlam Animal Hospital. Learning many areas of the clinic, Robyn gained a wealth of patient care experience. From assisting with surgeries to veterinary assistant duties and right down to cleaning kennels, Robyn received valuable experience that brought her to her 2nd part of her career. A transition was made to help open a brand new clinic with a fellow veterinary college in 2013. Working as a veterinary assistant/receptionist and then practice manager at Mountain View Clinic from 2013- 2018 gave her the opportunity to work more closely with client relations & education. From this journey is where she fortunately came along an opportunity to work much closer to home and find a  fantastic clinic with a fear free policy for patient care. Starting at FVAH in April 2018 has been a perfect choice as the vision and patient & client care here is top notch and something Robyn feels very important.

In her spare time she likes to spend time with her family and friends, that includes her 5 rescue dogs. Traveling to Ireland is one of her greatest passions and has been lucky enough to hop across the 'pond' several times since 2008 and plans on retiring out there.

Patient Care Specialist

Pets: Edgar and Mama

Hometown: England

Laurene came to us in July 2018, and works as a Patient Care Specialist. She is originally from England, which is where she graduated from her degree in Biological Sciences in 2017. Half way through her degree she realised she was actually destined to work with animals and thus started building up her work experience until she was able to apply to and work in a clinic. She frequently says she has to pinch herself because working at FVAH is a dream come true. She finds the doctors so inspirational that she now wants to go back to school to become a doctor herself. So that is her next life goal!

Laurene lives in Abbotsford with her Dutch partner and two beautiful children (pictured), Edgar and his mum Mama Marmite. They are both spoilt rotten and have too many toys and teddy bears to count. Yes, her children are cats...

Outside of work she loves exploring BC and practicing wildlife photography. She also loves yoga and brings her mat to work for a bit of lunch-time zen-time!
