Rena started with FVAH in 2013 and has been a vital part of our team. Starting as our Head Receptionist, she continued to grow in the hospital and is now recognized as our Office Manager. She came to us with 3 previous years of experience, after graduating from West Coast College of Health Care in 2010. With her vast amount of life experience animals have always provide a calm stillness in her world. Rena enjoys and excels at providing great client/patient care; always answering any and all questions or finding the answer for them if she can’t. Her innate problem solving skills and positive attitude have been an essential part in our growth as a innovative hospital. 

When this busy lady has free time she enjoys spending as much of it as possible doing various outdoor activities such as biking, gardening, swimming and camping.

Alicia is a Registered Veterinary Technologist with over 20 years of experience in the veterinary profession. She has worked with many different species in not only private practice but research and wildlife rehabilitation as well. Through her career she has worked with many different agencies to provide animals with the best care possible including the Vancouver Aquarium, Mountainview Conservation Society, the Canadian Animal Assistance Team, Granville Business College Veterinary Assistant Program, Canada West Veterinary Specialists and many others. Her areas of technical interest include anesthesia, nutrition, behaviour and physiotherapy. She also enjoys working with clients to develop the best programs for their pets whether it be weight loss, disease management or simply building a better daily routine to support mental health.

In her free time she sits on the executive for the Canadian Disaster Animal Response Team for Southwest BC and enjoys working on her new home in Mission with her husband. She is the mom to a beautiful 7 year old little girl as well as a 3-legged crested gecko, a leopard gecko, an incredibly active Mexican rescue dog.

  Nicole graduated from the Veterinary Office Assistant program at Douglas College in 2016. Her life’s passion has been to work with animals and she has been so excited to join the FVAH team – in her words she says “I now have a career that I truly love”. She shares her life with three fur babies, a pug named Chico and two cats named Lois and Batman. Her favourite seasons are fall and winter because it’s all about spending time with family and friends. And she fits into our FVAH team so well as she is another one who loves love DIY projects and is a Pinterest addict.

Cydney has been with our family since August 2018. Since she was a young girl, everyone she knew has continuously told her she has a huge heart and should use it to pursue a career in the health industry. So she took that advice and her love for animals and is upgrading her schooling to enroll in a veterinary technician program.  

Her friends and family would describe her as a crazy cat lady, although realistically without the crazy. She absolutely adores cats!! Along with her own cats she loves Midnight and Morris our clinic cats. In her free time she enjoys reading a good book and cuddling up with her animals.

Tanya joined our team in May 2020, after serving the people and pets in our neighbouring community since 2009. Tanya has a deep love for cats, especially Tortoiseshell cats. You will find her cheerful spirit in the reception area and she looks forward to meeting our client base here in Abbotsford.

During her free time she refuels in the West Coast forests, East Coast beaches and you can find her with her feet up in any restaurant that has a a patio.

In 2016, Tiffani graduated from UFV after completing the Veterinary Office Assistant Program. She has a special passion for nutrition and pet insurance, which has helped greatly with her own small mixed-breed trouble maker Rhodey. She also has a cockatiel named Mando, who can say "pretty bird" and "peeka-boo" and a mischievous lovebird named Loki. When Tiffani is not at work, she enjoys eating sushi and watching the Mandalorian.

Taylor joined our team in the Summer of 2019, after graduating the Veterinary Assistant program at UFV. She has always had a love animals and is one of our front line team members dealing with our clients and their beloved pets. Her goals in the near future is to a distance education program to be a Veterinary technician. 

Outside of the clinic, Taylor enjoys spoiling her Chihuahua and spending time with her family and friends. She also has a green cheeked conure named Pepper who is versed in speaking "Love you" and "Peek a boo". She also has a love for reptiles and owns  and a bearded dragon named Pancake.

Natasha has been working with us since 2011.  We are so happy to have her with us even if it is only part time while she spends the rest of her time being a fantastic mommy.  Natasha works as one of our Client Care Specialists two days a week and was voted by clients as our most compassionate – which says something when we have a team of highly compassionate and understanding ladies!  Natasha is also often a client of Fraser Valley Animal Hospital as her Kizmit is a notorious sock eater!  Besides going to school to receive her assistant certificate she is also a certified groomer.  On her time away from FVAH besides running after her two toddlers, she has a passion for the outdoors and anything crafty – from crochet to jewellery making!

Christina graduated from the Animal Health Technology program at Red River College in 2001.
Originally from Winnipeg, she started volunteering in clinics in 1998. Since graduating, she has developed a passion for dentistry, laboratory technology and surgical nursing.
Christina moved to Abbotsford with her husband and her now 17 year old cat, Chip, in 2008.
In her spare time she enjoys reading, travelling and spending time with her two young children.
Christina looks forward to meeting all of the furry patients and their pet parents at Fraser Valley Animal Hospital!


Patient Care Specialist/ Veterinary Assistant Technician

Robbie has been with us since October 2013. She started on weekends and has progressed to full time, gaining lots of experience and knowledge. She is a graduate from the Veterinary Assistant program and is very peaceful to work with. Robbie has a passion for cats and is a great addition to our team helping in our Cat Nap Inn and was a vital part of FVAH’s new Cat Only Clinic.  Like most of our staff Robbie fell in love with one of our rescued pets and now Leo calls Robbie’s home his own!  When not at work, Robbie is a passionate artist and has an eye for precious gems!

Robbie loves to paint and has a very artistic quality. You will often find her handy-work around the hospital as she designs and paints many of our signs.

Katie started working with us at the Fraser Valley Animal Hospital the spring of 2015 while she was in school at Douglas College to become an Veterinary Technologist.  Now graduated and finished her in-clinic training, she has joined us full time as a RVT.  Katie’s bright smile and enthusiastic personality can brighten anyone's day!

Kim graduated from TRU as a registered veterinary technician in 2008.  She has worked in emergency medicine, critical care and internal medicine all over the lower mainland before settling back in her hometown of  Abbotsford.  
She has a passion for pain management, anesthesia and intensive care for dogs, cats and pocket pets. She hopes to continue to bring top quality care to your pet while they are in hospital with us.  
In her spare time, she is on her family farm working in her garden or tending to her honeybees.

After almost 20 years working in customer service and retail management, Brooke decided it was time to follow her passion of working with animals. She spent a few years volunteering for L.A.P.S. in animal care, as well as working as an assistant dog groomer before enrolling in the Veterinary Office Assistant Certificate Program. Newly located to Abbotsford and a graduate of March 2020, Brooke joined FVAH and enjoys the close knit team and continuing to learn from our amazingly talented team of doctors. When not at work, Brooke enjoys spending time with her husband and her pack! Her favorite patients are senior dogs, as she has 3 of her own. Brooke is looking forward to meeting all of FVAH's clients and being able to help care for their furry family members.
