I wanted to work with animas since I was very young. I always had a passion for the neighborhood cats and I was eager to get my own dog. In 2012 I graduated the Veterinary Assistant Program at West Coast College of Health Care with my dog Faith by my side. Since then, I have worked in regular practice, emergency and rescue shelters. My dream is to own and operate a rescue shelter with community outreach for their fellow humans. I love working at the Fraser Valley Animal Hospital because we share the same passion for the Fear Free approach and rehabilitation/rehoming of cats.
Fun Fact: Mel cares for a Feral Cat Colony through a local Trap & Release Program
